As COVID-19 continues to become a part of the ‘new normal’, social distancing in public places has become an everyday thing.

Why do we abide by the social distance rule? Because we do not want to risk our lives nor the lives of others.

For thousands of Central American migrants fleeing violence in their countries, two-meter social distancing is not enough. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Amnesty International used Ads to show a comparison between the distance that saves some people’s lives, versus the distance a refugee from Central America needs to cover to be safe from violence.
